Today: Celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit

On Thursday, September 13, 2012,  the John Carroll University Community will celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit at noon at Gesu Church (across the street from Rodman Hall). Rev. Robert Niehoff, S.J., president of John Carroll, will be the presider and Rev. Jim Collins, S.J., will be the homilist.

Although no classes will be cancelled there is a shortened class schedule. The schedule changes are available online.

There will be a luncheon following the Mass for the entire community. Seating will be in the Schott Dining Hall and in the LSC and Murphy Rooms. Take-out containers will be available at all food stations. Weather permitting, there will be some outside seating, but all dining service will be from inside.

Food service at other locations around campus will be otherwise limited.

The hours of operation for Dining Services on Thursday, September 13, due to Mass of the Holy Spirit, are as follows:

  • The Schott Dining Hall is open from 7 to 10 a.m., 12:15 to 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 to 8 p.m.
  • The Inn Between is open from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.
  • Einstein’s and Java City Grasselli will be open during their regular hours of operation.

Recreational facilities will be closed between noon and 1 p.m. in order to allow all students, faculty, staff, and administrators to participate in this celebration.
