Today: Constitution Day celebration, “Wrongful Conviction and the Constitution”

John Carroll will host our annual Constitution Day celebration, “Wrongful Conviction and the Constitution,” today, Monday, Sept. 16, at noon in Donahue Auditorium. Also known as Citizenship Day, Constitution Day is a federal observance honoring the day 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the United States Constitution. This historic date was September 17, 1787.

The presentation will include a review of Constitutional provisions related to defendant’s rights, discussion of an example of wrongful conviction, and a student debate between Julie Lazanich ’16 and Michael Goggins ’15.
