Like to Sew? Sew for the CSSA!
The Center for Service and Social Action is in need of volunteers to sew fleece “pillow sleeves” in support of a Summer Orientation Service Project for incoming JCU freshmen and their families. Construction is very simple: cut the fleece to size and sew a single seam (fleece fabric is provided). The pillows are completed by incoming students and their families during Summer Orientations and then donated to the Malachi House, a local hospice facility, where they are used to relieve painful pressure points in bed-ridden patients.
