Today: LGBTQ Study Seeking Participants

Drs. Russell Toomey and Karla Anhalt of Kent State University are looking for participants for their research study.

The purpose of our online survey is to better understand the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, transgender, questioning, or non-heterosexual (LGBTQ) youth who are also Latina/o. This survey asks about youth’s school, family, community, and other experiences. This survey is anonymous and open to LGBTQ youth between the ages of 14 and 24 who live in the United States and also identify as Latina/o.

The research is being conducted by two university professors who have experience conducting research with LGBTQ youth. The research findings will be used to help communities, families, and schools make things better for LGBTQ Latina/o youth. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact Russell Toomey at or 330.672.2967, or Karla Anhalt at or 330.672.0582.

This study was approved by the Institutional Review Board at Kent State University.
