Today: Grasselli Library Civil Rights Film Screenings

Grasselli Library is proud to host a series of film screenings dedicated to exploring Civil Rights throughout the month of February. The four films that will be presented are The Abolitionists, Freedom Riders, The Loving Story, and Slavery by Another Name. Each film will also have a discussion facilitated by members from our campus community including The African American Alliance, Dr. Michael Bowen, Dr. Malia McAndrews, and Dr. Terry Mills. Food and drinks will be provided, please join us Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Mackin Room. This film series is funded by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.

February 4 – The Abolitionists, discussion led by the African American Alliance
February  11 – Freedom Riders, discussion led by Dr. Michael Bowen
February 18 – The Loving Story, discussion led by Dr. Malia McAndrews
February 25 – Slavery by Another Name, discussion led by Dr. Terry Mills
