Instructors have the option of requiring the Respondus LockDown Browser for their Canvas quizzes. Doing so prevents students from printing, copying, and accessing other applications during a quiz. To utilize this option, first click on the LockDown Browser link on the course navigation bar. This will display a list of quizzes in the course. To require the LockDown browser for a quiz, click the pull-down menu to the left of the quiz title, then on Modify Settings. Clicking on the “Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this exam” button will present a few additional options. Click the Save and Close button and that’s it! Students will now be required to use the LockDown browser (which is installed on all JCU classroom/lab computers) to take that quiz.
