Volunteers are needed this Sunday, March 22. Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Cleveland will converge in the Dolan Center for Science and Technology at JCU for the Annual Catholic School Elementary Science Olympiad for grades four, five, and six. Events include competitions in aerodynamics, bridge building, circuit wizardry, an egg drop, simple machines, “mystery” powders, and more!
Volunteers are needed for the morning shift to help set up for the event and judge and score one event. There is also an afternoon shift where volunteers are needed to assist with the science show, set up a Chemistry Show in Kulas Auditorium, distribute trophies and ribbons at the Awards Ceremony, and help to clean up and return supplies.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants!
NOTE: All participants in this activity MUST attend a mandatory training session on Wednesday, March 18 at 4:00 p.m. at JCU’s Einstein’s Bagels. Please do NOT register for this activity unless you can attend the training session AND the Science Olympiad event.
