Robert Gunn, JCU Class of 1969, will be the featured speaker at the Entrepreneurship Minor Speaker Series, on April 21 at 4 p.m. in the Jardine Room.
Mr. Gunn graduated from John Carroll in 1969, with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. The accounting major also was a member of the Blue Streaks football team. After graduation, he became a licensed Certified Public Accountant and worked for Arthur Andersen & Company in New York, and later Boston. In 1973, Mr. Gunn became the international controller at the Bank of Boston, and then the director of international finance at Digital Equipment Corporation. In 1981, Mr. Gunn left the corporate world and founded Gunn Financial Incorporated, which has developed, purchased, and owned hotel, apartment, retail, and industrial real estate in Boston, Baltimore, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and New Orleans.
Mr. Gunn is active in JCU’s Alumni Association and many other organizations: Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Marblehead, Massachusetts; the North Shore ARC; the Marblehead Counseling Center; the Massachusetts General Hospital Lung Cancer Research Center; and Don Bosco Preparatory High School (New Jersey).
