As a reminder, the 2016 Benefit Open Enrollment period will begin on Monday, November 2 and will continue through Friday, November 13. Open Enrollment provides you with the annual opportunity to make changes to your benefit plan elections.
As you may recall, earlier this year Human Resources negotiated a new agreement with Cigna regarding the PPO Dental Insurance Plan. This new agreement significantly increased coverage, including dependent age limits, while decreasing cost by 15% per member. These changes went into effect on July 1, 2015 and will continue through 2016. In addition, I am also very pleased to announce health coverage costs for Medical Mutual of Ohio Health Insurance Plans have also decreased for all benefit-eligible faculty and staff employees. These per member cost reductions will be reflected in all rates effective January 1, 2016.
We are delighted to offer these enhancements and per member cost reductions to the Cigna PPO Dental plan and the Medical Mutual of Ohio Health Insurance plans. You will be receiving more specific information regarding the Open Enrollment process along with a complete rate schedule from Human Resources today.
