What happens to a dream deferred? Growing up in a dysfunctional home can have its limits. For 16-year-old Prix, the beauty of fireworks and living in the streets as a gang member is her escapism. Prix’s unflinching life spans a 14-year journey that leads into meeting new friends, detention centers, prisons, and encountering old ghosts.
