Please consider nominating your fellow colleagues for the 2017 Staff Recognition & Excellence Awards!
On behalf of the Staff Council Executive Committee and the Staff Recognition and Community Building Committee, we are pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Staff Council Staff Recognition and Excellence Awards. These awards recognize the professional contributions and service of John Carroll University staff (non-exempt and exempt) and their integral role in promoting the University’s mission of inspiring “individuals to excel in learning, leadership, and service in the region and in the world.”
Staff members may be nominated for one of four awards:
— New Staff Member of the Year (1-3 years of service)
— Staff Member of the year (4 or more years of service)
— Saint Ignatius of Loyola Leadership Award
— Archbishop John Carroll Award for Learning
All regular staff members, full-time and part-time (20+ hours per week) are eligible, provided that they are on non-probationary status and in good standing with his/her respective department and University at the time of nomination.

All nominations must be received by March 31, 2017, and may be supported by up to three letters of recommendation. Recipients will receive their awards in May 2017.
To avoid possible conflicts of interest, the elected Staff Council chair (Rory Hill) and chair-elect (Lisa Brown Cornelius), as well as members of the Staff Recognition and Community Building Committee (Eric Eickhoff, Jane Evans, Courtney Farver, and Adam Green) who are involved in the decision-making process are NOT eligible to nominate or be nominated during their terms in office.
