Today, Friday, April 27, is the annual Day of Silence is the Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network’s annual day of action to spread awareness about the effects of the bullying and harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning students. Students take a day-long vow of silence to symbolically represent the silencing of LGBTQ students. There will be a Breaking the Silence party at 5 p.m. in the CSDI Lounge. All are welcome, and there will be free food!
