Inauguration Events Begin Today

Dear John Carroll University Community,

A reminder that you are cordially invited to attend the Inauguration of the University’s 25th President, Michael D. Johnson, Ph.D.

9:00 a.m.
Mass of the Holy Spirit
Church of the Gesu

Student procession delegates, assemble in the atrium of the Grasselli Library at 10 a.m. or upon completion of the Mass of the Holy Spirit. The procession will begin at 10:45 a.m.

11:00 a.m.
Inauguration Investiture Ceremony
Hamlin Quad (Rain Location: Church of the Gesu)

12:15 p.m.
Inauguration Community Lunch for Students
Schott Dining Hall, D.J. Lombardo Student Center

To encourage members of the University community to attend inaugural events, the following changes are being made to the schedule for Tomorrow, September 6:

1. Classes will be held beginning with classes that normally start at 3:30 p.m. All classes that start earlier than 3:30 p.m. are cancelled.
2. University employees should report to work as scheduled during inauguration events. Supervisors are strongly encouraged to allow employees who wish to attend events to do so as part of their regular work hours. Only offices for essential services need remain open during events with minimum required staffing.
