Today: Tech Thursday: Windows 10 tips and tricks

This one hour workshop will demonstrate some of the key features of using Windows 10. We will get you to explore the desktop and start menu, access your network drives, search for files/programs, install a network printer, access commonly used programs such as Word, Excel, and a web browser, and some basic troubleshooting tips and tricks.

Topics to be covered:
* Logging in to the workstation
* Navigating the desktop, Start Menu, Pinning, Search box(hide/unhide)
* Multitasking with multiple desktops
* Apps – set defaults for email, web browser
* File Explorer ribbon, Quick Access
* Installing a network printer
* Accessing your network drives – H:, O: and Google Drive with File Explorer
* Microsoft Software Centre to install University owned software
