Community-based participatory research (CBPR) brings together researchers, institutions, and broader communities to foster mutually beneficial partnerships throughout each phase of the research process. CBPR is about relationships and relationship building. Further, CBPR is a complementary, not competing, approach to research. This is session will provide an overview of the nine key principles that guide CBPR and challenges of using this approach. Lunch will be provided.
