Faculty and Staff are invited to join the 2019 Mitsui Distinguished Lecturer, Dr. Susan Napier, on Tuesday, April 2, as she discusses “The Perils and Pleasures of Cultural Appropriation.” Please join us at 12:00 in the Faculty Lounge. Lunch will be provided.
Napier’s latest book, “Miyazakiworld: A Life in Art,” examines the life of filmmaker Hayao Miyazaki and the worldwide impact of his work. She will present, “World Building: The Utopian Dreams and Apocalyptic Nightmares of Hayao Miyazaki” at the 6:30 pm lecture in the Dolan Auditorium.
