The Department of Athletics is hosting a special event to unveil our new visual identity this Friday, May 3 at 3:30 p.m. in the Tony DeCarlo Varsity Center.
A year ago, we started the process of a rebrand to update the messaging and streamline our visual representation across all aspects of athletic competition, as the University prepares to celebrate 100 years of intercollegiate athletics this coming fall.
More than an exercise in design aesthetics for a modern-era of competition, our strategic approach began with research to gain an understanding of the story and historical attributes that are central to the John Carroll Athletics story. We listened to those who have a vested interest in the athletics program – including current and alumni athletes, coaches, athletic administrators, University leadership, and Blue Gold Club members. Understanding what matters most among these stakeholders was important in articulating our value propositions through concise messaging and informed the visual manifestation that represents all things sports at John Carroll University.
Join President Michael D. Johnson, Ph.D. and Senior Director of Athletics Michelle Morgan as they unveil the new athletics logo and visual identity. Be there to take photos on the “blue carpet,” share in a dessert reception, and have the chance to take home new Blue Streaks merchandise.
Thank you for supporting John Carroll athletics, and go Blue Streaks!
