Save the Date! Lunchtime Tai Chi

JCUFit is sponsoring 6 weeks of Tai Chi classes, starting Thursday, October 10th from Noon – 1pm in the NEW Fitness Room. No sign up needed – wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes.

Tai Chi is great for beginners and experienced practitioners alike. Learn why this multi-faceted art form is good for relaxation, balance, core and lower body strength and why it is beneficial in the healing and prevention of many disorders including those related to stress. In this class you will learn the movements of the Yang Style Tai Chi form as well as Energy building exercises known as Qigong (Chee-Gong). You will also learn how to use deep breathing techniques and mental visualization to enhance focus, concentration and strengthen the flow of energy in the body known as Chi. Tai Chi is known to loosen stiff joints, stretch the muscles and open the mind.
