HPAC informational sessions
Attention all students interested in applying to medical school (MD or DO), dental school (DMD or DDS) or certified anesthesiologist assistant program (CAA) in the summer of 2020 to begin your program in the fall of 2021
If you wish to begin a healthcare program such as medical school, dental school or a certified anesthesiologist assistant program in 2021, you should participate in the HPAC (Health Professions Advisory Committee) program in the spring of 2020. This program helps you gather and organize your application information, improve your personal statement, strengthen interview skills, and prepare you for the next steps in the application process. Participating in HPAC is the only way to get a committee letter of recommendation submitted to the schools and programs that you will be applying to. Most medical, dental, and CAA programs require or strongly prefer a committee letter of recommendation; the lack of a committee letter from a school with an HPAC program is a red flag to most healthcare schools. I will be hosting two informational sessions, both held in Dolan Science Center, E130:
Wed, October 30th at 4pm
Monday, November 4th at 4:30pm
Choose one – pick the date and time that works best for you. Each session will last about 50 minutes. This informational session will cover the HPAC process, tips for preparing for standardized tests, application insights, and personal statement information.
No need to RSVP for the informational session. However, students interested in participating in HPAC in the spring must attend one of the informational sessions or meet with me and sign up to participate by November 20th.
Snacks will be provided!
