Join us for a night of saucy political satire and scandalous family calamity as the John Carroll University Department of English presents Why Torture is Wrong, and The People Who Love Them by Tony award-winning playwright Christopher Durang! JCU’s cast of Why Torture is Wrong, and The People Who Love Them are ready to show you just how surprising a night of theater can be! When Felicity takes her new husband, Zamir, home to meet the family, her father, Leonard, immediately assumes that Zamir is a terrorist, and gathers his incompetent crew of shadow government operatives. A crazy yet humane comedy. Please note: this play contains references to violent and sexual behavior, and mature language.
