Today: First-Years and Graduating Seniors: Take the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)!

Attention first-year students and graduating seniors: John Carroll University wants to improve the student experience, and you can help!

This year, John Carroll University will once again participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). The NSSE was designed to provide information colleges and universities can use to improve the quality of undergraduate education. The goal is to help John Carroll understand how engaged students are in activities that lead to learning.

Beginning Monday, February 10, 2020, eligible first-year and graduating senior students will receive an invitation in their JCU email and Canvas inboxes from NSSE with a link to the survey. The survey should only take 20 minutes to complete.

In appreciation for your participation, students who complete the survey by April 2, 2020, will be automatically entered in a random drawing to win 1 of 200 gift cards from local businesses, including Starbucks and Ben and Jerry’s (worth between $5 and $10) or one $50 Target gift card. Your chances of winning depend on how many students complete the survey; the last time we administered this survey about 450 students responded.
