Attention, Sophomores!

As a spring semester sophomore, you should be preparing to switch from your pre-major advisor to a major advisor, who will guide you to a timely graduation in your desired major.

1. If you are a student who knows his/her intended major, has earned 45+ credits with a GPA of 2.0 or higher, and has settled on a major and met its specific declaration requirements, then you are eligible to declare your major this semester!

2. If you are a student who knows his/her intended major, but do not yet have the requirements to declare

3. If you are uncertain of the major you wish to pursue

To ensure a timely progression, we have ask JCU faculty to only release students for registration;
• who have already officially declared their major or
• submitted a clear and feasible academic plan to reach declaration.

And so if you plan to graduate on time, it is important that you take the steps in your situation as outlined above, as soon as possible, to be prepared in time for priority registration.

Priority registration for Summer and Fall 2020 begins on Monday, March 23.

Students will register based on their earned hours and should check their Student Profile when the registrar’s office announces that time tickets have been generated.

Priority registration for Fall 2020 ends on Friday, April 24. Please, let us know if you have questions or doubts about the procedure delineated in this email.
