DKMS Bone Marrow Donation Registration Drive
The JCU Love Your Melon Pediatric Cancer Awareness Crew will be hosting a DKMS Bone Marrow Donation Registration drive on Thursday, Feb. 20 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the LSC Atrium. Register to become a potential bone marrow donor, or stop by to learn more information about donor eligibility and the donation process.
According to DKMS, “Every 3 minutes in the U.S., someone is diagnosed with a blood cancer. For many patients, a bone marrow transplant is the best chance at recovery. While 30% of patients can find a matching donor in their families, 70%—nearly 12,000 each year—must rely on a benevolent stranger to step up and donate.” Registration is quick and easy. Don’t miss out on a chance to bring hope or save a life!
