STUDENT GOVERNMENT UPDATES

Hello everyone,

The Student Government has a few more updates following this week’s meeting. As of right now, we do not have the capacity to send all student emails. Because of this, updates will be through InsideJCU and social media. Please follow our Instagram @jcustudentgov, and Twitter @JCUStudentGov to stay up to date! Here are some updates:

Senate passed a Recommendation to encourage Administration to allow students to switch to a pass/fail grading system for as many classes as they would like.

Senate passed a Recommendation to encourage Administration to continue paying Student Workers.

Senate passed a Basic Policy Declaration to revise a past recommendation to encourage Administration to refund Graduation fees if they are not used for a postponed/rescheduled Graduation.

***REMINDER: recommendations serve as encouragement, the University ultimately has the decision to refund, change grading systems, etc. Our recommendations aim to make what students want clear in hopes that the Administration uses the information to guide their decisions.

For more information on these bills, please do not hesitate to reach out. As always, feel free to fill out the form with any more questions!
