Important Reminder to Students Living Off Campus
This serves as a reminder to students currently living in their off campus residences. The State of Ohio has issued a stay at home order that remains in effect through May 1st. Additionally, when it is necessary to leave your homes for essential services, a physical distance of 6 feet should be maintained and a face mask should be worn. This means that only members of your household may be in your home or in your yard.
It has been reported to UHPD that gatherings on front lawns that do not follow these orders have been observed by neighbors within the last week.
While citizens in your age group are perhaps less likely to suffer the most severe consequences of the virus, no one segment of the population has proven to be immune from contracting COVID-19 or carrying it without symptoms to infect others.
As the weather gets better, we are all inclined to stretch the rules a bit but now is the time to stay strong. Please do your part to slow the spread of COVID-19.
