New second 7-week courses for Fall 2020

Would you like to increase the number of credits you are pursuing this semester? Interested in improving the way you manage college?
Do you need to fulfill the Creative And Performing Arts requirement of the Core Curriculum?

There are two new second seven-week courses starting next week that will allow you to do this:

AR 112 – 54: APPLIED STUDENT LEARNING – 31913
TR 3:30 pm – 4:20 pm
This course provides opportunities for students to achieve academic success by developing learning strategies, academic skills, time management and critical thinking.

COM 111 – 54: IMPROMPTU – 31914
TR 11:00 am – 12:15 pm
We face the unexpected question way too frequently. The response is always some form of impromptu speech, but the best responses have creative and effective elements. This class teaches students to present confidently, speak stylishly, organize strategically, and design creatively. This course fulfills the CAPA requirement, which is part of the Jesuit Heritage requirement for the university core.

Please, remember that you must register in second seven-week classes by Tuesday, October 20. If you are a first-semester student interested in taking one of these courses, please email your advisor asking her/his permission to register in the class.
