Featuring John McMurray, M.S., J.D., Chair of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) Deadball Era Committee and Oral History Committee and Lecturer, Tim Russert Department of Communication, JCU

Monday, May 17, 2021 | 7:30 p.m. (Eastern)
Hosted on the Zoom Platform.

Join us as we learn more about the legacy of Larry Doby, the man who broke the color barrier in the American League just a couple of months after Jackie Robinson integrated the National League. Doby undoubtedly had similar experiences to that of Robinson, yet, his legacy is not as well known as #42. Author of SABR’s biography on Larry Doby, John McMurray will share his thoughts and perspectives on the legacy of Doby and his Hall of Fame career.
