The Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion is teaming up with Ursuline College Offices of Diversity and Counseling to host a BIPOC Mental Health Summit on Saturday, September 25th. The summit will take place at JCU in the Jardine Room from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with breakfast and lunch provided.
The goal of the summit is to increase mental health awareness and to erase stigma in communities of color. It will feature local and campus mental health resources and a panel of mental health professionals. In addition, writer and solo performer Mia Smith will perform her play Resilience, highlighting her experience with mental health as a black woman.
