Writers Write | Using Low-Stakes Writing Assignments to Build Scholarly Conversation

When students are writing daily and weekly for your course, it’s much easier for them to craft larger arguments for major assignments.

In this third session of Writing Across Carroll, Dan Reynolds, PhD, Assistant Professor of Literacy Education, will share tips about how to use Canvas Collaborations/Google Docs, a neat collaborative-annotation tool called Perusall, and upgraded Canvas discussion boards to keep students writing regularly. The best part? It requires little to no assessment time!

Please join us on Tuesday, November 30, 12:30 p.m. We will meet in person in D202/D203, or join via Zoom at https://johncarrolluniversity.zoom.us/j/92750534863

Please RSVP no later than Friday, November 26 using this link to ensure we order enough boxed lunches for everyone: https://forms.gle/a3gGLzYSjSeWn4Tu9
