Update on COVID-19
As experts are monitoring the increasing transmission and spread of the COVID-19 BA.2 Omicron variant in Europe and Asia, the JCU Task Force continues to monitor the cases in our county and positive cases on our campus, which have both recently declined dramatically. The BA.2 variant spreads more quickly with the same type of symptom severity, but thankfully, there has not been an increase in hospitalizations. JCU will continue to follow the CDC guidelines
Prevention is the best practice, which includes:
• Frequent handwashing
• Choosing to wear a mask, especially in close contact settings
• If symptomatic, get yourself tested (Free testing at the Health Center)
• #1-COVID-19 vaccination, including a Booster when advised
