Final Day to see Uncaged Art!

See “Uncaged Art from the Tornillo Detention Camp,” a photo exhibit with works of art created by children in federal detention camps, on display in the Grasselli Library lobby April 5-12.

The exhibit, curated by the University of Texas at El Paso, is a powerful depiction of hope and resilience by children suffering in overcrowded conditions, surrounded by a barbed wire fence. “Uncaged Art” provides a look into the voices of the children through their visual representations of their homelands. Parks, churches, landscapes, and birds flying free dominate the art pieces.

Sponsored by the Arrupe Social Justice Scholars Program.
