Today: Fall Semester Software Needs

If you haven’t already, please submit software requests for classrooms and student computer labs (both physical & virtual) to the Service Desk via our new software request form. To access the form as well as a list of the software already loaded on the systems please visit the ITS website https://www.jcu.edu/its. If you are using something new please let us know before classes begin. Any requests that are received after August 19, 2022, will not be installed until after the first week of classes as we work to ensure a smooth beginning for the fall semester.

We have a hard deadline of September 16th, 2022, after which no software can be installed in these spaces.

Please note that all software will be evaluated for appropriate licensing prior to installation. Be aware that any software that needs to be purchased will require additional time to acquire and install.

Additionally, in July, the university decided to not renew our site license for Adobe, and instead, we are purchasing individual licenses for those who need the Adobe software. We are asking you to complete a short Google form to identify your needs and ensure we purchase the correct licensing.

Our request for information only pertains to the usage of Adobe on your John Carroll University Device. Computer Labs and Classroom Computers are not part of the scope of this form.

Please note that additional licenses can be added at a later date if needed, so we only need information if you know that you will be using Adobe in the coming year.
