Paid Internship: ELA tutor at John Marshall School of Engineering
Through an Ohio Department of Education Statewide Tutoring grant, the Education Department at JCU invites current students to apply to tutor 9th-grade ELA students at John Marshall School of Engineering. JCU students will work with small groups of students by reading culturally responsive texts and engaging in Youth Participatory Action Research. Training is included in the internship hours and the opportunity is open to all interested JCU students.
Availability: January 17 – March 24. Interns need to be able to commit to at least 1 class period for 2-3 days per week. Mileage reimbursement is available. The internship totals 20 hours and pays $400.
