Hillel International is partnering with John Carroll University on a Campus Climate Review to assess and improve the experience for Jewish students at our campus. As part of this effort, we are interested in understanding Jewish students’ perspectives on aspects of the campus climate, including their sense of welcome, cross-cultural attitudes and interactions, and suggestions for campus action with a specific focus on the inclusion of Jewish students.
We are inviting you to participate in an hour-long, virtual focus group with 8-12 other undergraduate Jewish students in a conversation about John Carroll University’s campus climate. The focus groups will be conducted by researchers at the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago, an objective,
nonpartisan research organization partnering with Hillel International. The focus group conversations will be recorded to ensure accuracy of reporting. However, students’ names (or other identifying information) will not be associated with anything shared in the reported findings.
Focus Groups will take place on February 21st from 4pm-5pm or 5pm-6pm for students, and 12pm-1pm for faculty and staff.
To thank you for your participation, NORC (on behalf of Hillel International) will be providing you with a $20 electronic gift card. You will be able to select either a Visa or Amazon gift card, and it will be emailed to you upon completion of the focus group.
