Are you a Pre-Med student from a family with no physicians and are looking for opportunities, mentorship, and insight? Michael Le is a JCU alum and medical student currently doing his clinical rotations. He is involved with an organization that will connect JCU Pre-Med students to a larger group that focuses on students who are the first in their families to go to medical school. Michael is a first-gen student and can provide insight into the challenges and obstacles he experienced as an undergraduate and medical school student.
On Monday, February 19th, 4:00 – 5:00pm, Michael will meet with students in Dolan E130 to give details about the program. He stated, “The main highlights of the group as it pertains to premed students are that we’re piloting a mentorship opportunity between premeds and medical students, having monthly speakers and networking events, providing shadowing opportunities at the Cleveland Clinic as well as possible scholarships.” Michael will answer any questions you have about the program and will give reflections on his experience too. Snacks will be provided! No need to register – bring a friend!
