Today: Apply now – Kolenich Pre-Med Scholarship!!

Apply now for the James J and Marie Kolenich Pre-Medical Scholarship! This scholarship award is up to $4,400 and will be awarded to a current Junior to be applied to the student’s Senior year.
Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must have declared intent to pursue a career in medicine, have an overall GPA of at least 3.25, and have demonstrated an interest in the humanities through coursework and/or other humanities activities. Applicants may discuss financial need in their application materials.
Application Materials: 1. A resume that describes his or her academic achievements, expected graduation month/year, community involvement, and other extracurricular activities. The resume should also include the names and contact information (email and phone number) of two people, preferably JCU faculty members, who can serve as references for the applicant. 2. A copy of the applicant’s unofficial transcript (web transcript from Banner). 3. A personal essay that demonstrates a desire to pursue a career in medicine and an interest in the humanities by highlighting course selections that clearly show such interest, extracurricular activities that point to an interest in the humanities, and/or other characteristics that show an interest in the humanities.
