If you still have funds available in a Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) from 2018, you can still get reimbursed. Services incurred from January 1, 2018 through March 15th, 2019 are eligible for reimbursement to your 2018 accounts until May 31, 2019.

Pacelli Lot Closure – Construction 5/22-5/23

The Pacelli parking lot will be closed May 22nd through May 23rd due to construction at the main boiler house. The Pacelli parking lot will need to be completely cleared and no vehicles will be allowed entry down the drive into the parking lot. The walkway from the Belvoir parking lot down to Pacelli/Millor will also be closed. Foot traffic will be encouraged to go through the Recplex or around Millor for this period of time. If there are any questions please contact Scott Ulrich in facilities at ext 4313.

Webinar: Chinese Pronunciation- Understanding and Honoring Your Students’ Names

With the rapid increase of Chinese students on US higher education campuses, many faculty and staff are finding themselves with very limited understanding of Chinese history and culture. But at the most basic level is the need to be able to pronounce Chinese student names. This session will give a brief overview of the Chinese language system, a short but comprehensive guide to Mandarin intonation, and an interactive pronunciation session that will leave participants with a basic yet powerful command of Chinese linguistics. Participants will also learn how cultural tradition, governmental regulations, and holidays play a significant role in student classroom behavior and etiquette.

Today: Help the Honduras Immersion Team

JCU faculty and staff, we are looking for volunteers to sort medication for the 2019 Honduras Medical Immersion Trip departing May 21, 2019. Tasks are simple and involve counting pills, placing them in plastic bags, and applying a label with directions. No science or medical skills required. We take approximately half a million pills that must be sorted before we depart. Sign up for one shift or several! Click on the link below to sign up and select your shift(s). This qualifies for Mission Leave. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. All activities take place in Dolan W 215 the week of May 13th-May 17th. Main Campus Heating Loop Shutdown

As the temperatures finally appear to be consistently rising, the main campus heating loop has been turned off as of Wednesday, May 15, 2019. Interior building temperatures should remain comfortable as we progress through May into June. The air conditioning systems are fully operational and will cool the buildings as needed as the exterior temperatures rise. If you are experiencing any comfort issues, please submit a SchoolDude work order request or contact the Facilities Office at x4314
