Part of Term Course Reminders

Please be aware that classes meeting for only part of the term have different dates and deadlines for registration, changing to pass/fail or audit and for course withdrawal. If you are registered for a part-of-term course, or wish to register for a part-of-term course, please familiarize yourself with these dates and deadlines. The information can be found on the Registrar’s webpage under Course Registration and Deadline Dates.

Registrar Office — Early Closure

The Office of the Registrar will close at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 17, for an off-campus event. We will resume regular hours on Tuesday, April 18.

World Union of Jesuit Alumni Global Congress Coming to JCU

Did you know that Rev. Pedro Arrupe, S.J., first spoke of becoming “men [and women]” for others at the 1973 World Union of Jesuit Alumni (WUJA) gathering in Spain? Did you also know that John Carroll University will host the 2017 WUJA Global Congress from June 28-July 2, the first time the event will be held in North America?

Mail and Copy Centers Service During Easter Break

The JCU Mail and Copy Centers will have limited services during Easter Break. The Centers will be open on Thursday, April 13, from 8 a.m. until noon. There will be mail and package delivery in the morning on Thursday. Please have the mail down to the Mail Center by 11 a.m. in order to go out on the same day.

Today: HR Training Series: JCU FIT Wellness Portal

On Tuesday, April 11, from 10-11 a.m., HR will hold a training session on the JCU FIT Employee Wellness Portal for all full- and part-time faculty and staff. Location: Jardine Room. Trainer: Frankie Scarl, Certified Wellness Specialist, The MetroHealth System.

The JCU FIT Employee Wellness Program was launched in March. The JCU FIT Wellness Portal is an interactive tool that guides employees through specific programming and incentives to help maintain a healthy lifestyle. During this workshop, employees will be trained on how to effectively utilize the Wellness Portal. All who attend this training session will receive 10 points in the Wellness Portal.

HR Training Series: Legal Update for Supervisors

Supervisory employees are encouraged to attend the training program on “Current Legal Issues that Impact Supervisors.” The training will take place on Wednesday, April 12, from 9–10:30 a.m. in the Jardine Room. Participants will be provided with information on current legal issues that affect supervisors and the effective management of employees in their area.

Changes to Google Account Login Page

Over the next few weeks, Google will be rolling out a new Google Account login page that will be consistent over all computers, phones, and tablets. ITS reminds all users that they can expect to see a new Google Account login page when using G Suite applications and JCU email.

The JCU ITS Department has expanded the capabilities of our Helpdesk software to include an online portal for self-service, online viewing of your ticket history and a frequently asked questions area.
