Today: Obianuju Ekeocha – Women’s Health and the Culture of Life

Obianuju Ekeocha “Uju” will give a seminar on Tuesday, January 15, at 7 p.m. in the O’Connell Reading Room, Dolan Science Center. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the intersection of cultures, traditions, and healthcare. Uju is an amazing young Catholic scientist/researcher from the UK. She has addressed UN Committees/UK and Canadian Parliaments, is the President of Culture of Life Africa, and been a prolific media commentator.

WW—Wellness that Works—can provide the information, motivation, and support to help you be your best self in 2019. Weekly group meetings with a Wellness Coach help you set goals, keep you on track to reach those goals, and receive support from your colleagues with similar goals.

“Thanks but no thanks!” Donation Drive

Instead of holding on to all those unused or unwanted gifts from the holidays, help those in our JCU community who are in need! Donate new personal items (or in some cases clean, gently used items) such as: gloves, scarves, socks, hats, shoes, sweaters, toiletries, feminine products, and more. Just look for the “Thanks but no thanks!” bin in the atrium of the D.J. Lombardo Student Center. The bin will be available from Monday, January 14, through Friday, January 18.

Special Lecture: An Evening with Samaria Rice-Mother of Tamir

Join the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion and the Office of Mission and Identity on Thursday, January 17, 2019, to hear Samaria Rice, mother of Tamir Rice, share how her Tamir Rice Foundation plans to provide arts, cultural, and educational programs for children ages 10-19 in Cleveland’s St. Clair neighborhood. Budget Reporting Training for Staff & Faculty
