Believe it or not, not everyone looks forward to the holiday season. Even if you love the holidays, you might be dreading certain conversations that will likely arise during family gatherings. No matter your reason, this workshop will provide support and conversational strategies to students, faculty, and staff who might have some anxiety around going home for break or spending the holiday season with relatives. The Boler Parking Lot will be shut down on Saturday, December 1. All vehicles will need to be removed prior to Saturday for the delivery and installation of new electrical equipment. The parking lot will open back up at the end of the work day.

JCU Staff of Color are invited to attend a Staff of Color Employee Resource Group Potluck Lunch on Saturday, December 1, from noon-2 p.m. in the CSDI Lounge, located in the Student Center. All staff of color are invited to attend this event to share food and build community. We will also take some time to talk about our experiences of the diversity trainings that happened this semester, and the recent Staff Council position statement.

Today: Register to be a Buddy for Through the Eyes of a Child!

Through the Eyes of a Child is an annual event sponsored by Beta Theta Pi in which 70 Cleveland children from the local St. Francis and St. Thomas Aquinas elementary schools visit JCU’s campus for a few hours of holiday fun and activities. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, December 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and activities will include a visit with Santa, arts and crafts, time in the IM gym, and lunch in the dining hall.
