Trivia Night with the SPS and ACS

The Society of Physics Students and American Chemical Society invite you to participate in our annual Table Quiz. The event includes trivia in a variety of categories and is on Tuesday, March 21, at 6 p.m., in the Underground.

Student Leaders are integral to helping first-year students develop a commitment to service as part of JCU’s mission. Your energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to model hard work will be an important part of the first-year students having a great experience!

Law School in the Jesuit Tradition

To attend a Jesuit law school is a major decision. What do Jesuit law schools have to offer that others do not? Sean Reilly from Marquette Law School will be on campus Monday, March 20, at 6 p.m. in Dolan E 342, to recruit pre-law students.

International Tea House

This Friday, March 17, will be our third “International Tea House,” a monthly social gathering where American and international students can meet, talk, play games, and get to know each other. International teas and snacks will be provided. Join us from 3-5 p.m. in the Alumni Lounge in Rodman Hall.

World Union of Jesuit Alumni Global Congress Coming to JCU

Did you know that Rev. Pedro Arrupe, S.J., first spoke of becoming “men [and women]” for others at the 1973 World Union of Jesuit Alumni (WUJA) gathering in Spain? Did you also know that John Carroll University will host the 2017 WUJA Global Congress from June 28-July 2, the first time the event will be held in North America?

The Shula Chair and the Department of Philosophy are pleased to announce the following new initiatives open to all JCU students, regardless of major:

– Essay Prize in Philosophy ($500 and $250 prizes, May 1 deadline)
– Travel and Conference Awards (up to $1,200 each)
