Today: Support local charities-100 Blue Streaks Who Care meet May 1

We are a group of John Carroll students, faculty, staff, and administrators who are interested in supporting our local community in the greater Cleveland area. Our mission is to reach out and help our community by finding at least 100 or more members of the John Carroll community to each contribute a donation. The next meeting for 100 Blue Streaks Who Care will be on May 1 at 5 p.m. in the LSC Conference Room.

The purpose of Students for Social Justice shall be a commitment to two interrelated values of John Carroll’s mission: intellectual inquiry that demands critical thinking, and engaging in social justice and community service that leads to social action. We are a network of people passionate about different issues of social justice. Our first meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 30, from 7-8 p.m. in the Jardine Room.

Today: “The Politics of the End-Times Today”

David L. Barr, Ph.D., professor of religion at Wright State University, is the 2012-2013 Tuohy Chair Fellow. Barr will deliver the final lecture in the Tuohy Chair Lecture Series on Tuesday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium. The topic of the lecture series is “Jerusalem, Jesus, and Jihad: End-Times Scenarios in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.” The lecture on April 23 will focus on “The Politics of the End-Times Today.”
