The Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion will be hosting an information session for Esperanza’s College Mentorship Program. Esperanza has a goal to recruit 100 college students and pair them with a young professional mentors in the Greater Cleveland Area. The information session will take place on Wednesday, November 30, at 6 p.m. in the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion.

Federal Judge Halts New FLSA Overtime Rule

Late on November 22, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction halting the December 1st implementation of the proposed Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) “Overtime Rule.” As a result of this injunction, the current FLSA rules remain in place, and the University’s plans to comply with the proposed “Overtime Rule” have been put on hold. As of late yesterday, all employees that would have been affected by the new rule have been individually notified of this “on hold” status.
