Peak Capacity Energy Conservation Events

Temperatures for Monday, June 22, are expected to be in the 80s and 90s for most of the PJM area. Temperatures for Tuesday, June 23, are expected to be in the 80s and 90s for most of the PJM region, and low 100s in some of the southeastern parts of the PJM area.

Based on weather and load forecasts for the PJM wholesale market region, we have identified a risk that capacity peak events will be set, Monday, June 22 and Tuesday, June 23. Due to this risk, the university will reduce electricity loads between 4-6 p.m. on these dates.
