Join the East Asian Studies program as we welcome Izumi Mochizuki Greubel, author of A Promise to Live For, the true story of her mother’s childhood journey from northeast China to her hometown in Japan. At just 10 years old, Iku Mochizuki and her 6 year old brother traveled 340 miles alone, mostly on foot. Open to all.
