Today: Affinity Spaces this week

The Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion and colleagues from the Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will again host two virtual Affinity Spaces this Friday to continue and deepen our community conversations about the impact of race and racism in the realities we are experiencing right now, on us as individuals, and on JCU as an institution.

Affinity Spaces are designed to provide opportunities for community engagement, dialogue, and identity formation. Discussions will be facilitated by members of the DEI Division staff.

When: Friday 6/26/2020, 3:00-4:30 pm
Where: Zoom
Who: open to all current students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
To register: https://forms.gle/EswMzGeyyfNZDjb99

When you register, you will be asked to choose one of the following affinity spaces:

Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC): a space for Black, Indigenous and People of Color to connect, support, and unpack during this difficult time as we build resilience and hope.

Aspiring Anti-Racist Allies (AARA): a space for for discussion and self-education about racism and allyship with Black and POC communities.
