Want a Counselor’s Perspective but not sure if counseling is for you? Let’s Talk is here to help!

What is Let’s Talk?

Let’s Talk is a drop-in program for all current JCU students that provides easy access to free, informal, confidential consultations with a Counseling Center therapist. Simply drop-in during the times listed below because no appointment is necessary! Consultations typically last about 20 minutes. Consultations are on a first-come, first-serve basis – so you may have to wait for a short time in the virtual waiting room.

Let’s Talk is an opportunity for you to talk about concerns and receive expert suggestions about solutions and resources, or just have someone who listens well and can offer support. No topic is off limits, but common concerns include: stress, sadness, difficulty adjusting to school, academic concerns, family problems, financial issues, relationship concerns, identity and cultural concerns.

Due to the pandemic, Let’s Talk consultations are currently in virtual format only.

Mondays, 3 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Wednesdays, 2 p.m. – 3 p.m.

Check out our website jcu.edu/counselingcenter to gain access to the virtual room!
