Join us Thursday, April 22, 4:00 p.m. for the annual Miller Endowed Chair in Classics Lecture featuring Dr. Samuel Ortencio Flores, JCU ’07, Assistant Professor of Classics, College of Charleston.
Flores will discuss The Legacy of Greek and Roman Slavery. “The cultures of the Greco-Roman world have profoundly influenced the modern world, but not only in positive ways. This lecture will examine the institution of slavery in ancient Greece and Rome, and how it has impacted U.S. culture and history.”
