2021 marks the 500th anniversary of the conversion of St. Ignatius of Loyola. While his conversion and the moment that sparked it is well know (the injuries he sustained during the the Battle of Pamplona), his conversion did not take place over night. The “cannonball moment” was just the beginning of a process of conversion that took several years and established a pattern for conversion in an Ignatian context. Join fellow members of the JCU Community as Paul V. Murphy, Ph.D., Breen Chair in Catholic Studies and the Director of the Institute of Catholic Studies, discusses St. Ignatius’ conversion.
