Power Shutdowns affecting Cooling
On Wednesday, July 31st, power to the Main Boiler House and Pacelli will be shut off. This shutdown is needed to set up power for the new AWE building.
This power shutdown will affect cooling and heating for Boler, BWing, O’Malley, parts of Campus Ministry, and parts of Rec lower level until Aug 2nd. The Main Boiler House compressor controls heating and cooling for these buildings.
Cooling will still be available but will not control nearly as well as normal, meaning spaces are expected overcool or overheat, but mostly overcool.
Power will be restored to the compressor and Pacelli, by the end of the day on Aug 2nd.
We thank you for your patience during these temperature fluctuations. Please create a work order if the situation becomes not workable. Please keep in mind our response time may be affected by the large number of requests.
As a reminder, there will also be a power outage for DSC, Murphy Hall, and Dolan Hall on July 31st, but only for that one day.
